Five Years Left to Reach Millennium Development Goals

Next week, world leaders will meet in New York for a summit on progress toward the eight UN Millennium Development Goals, or MDGs, that seek to cut poverty, hunger, disease, maternal and child deaths and other ills by 2015. The World Bank is committed to helping achieve the MDG s because, simply put, these goals are our goals. What are the eight MDGs?
